6th TxDOT-CCT CONCRETE
CONFERENCE - DECEMBER
7-8, 2010 UT AUSTIN - JJ PICKLE RESEARCH CENTER
The TxDOT-CCT Concrete Conference is the only venue in Texas
where TxDOT engineers and administrators, metropolitan planning
organizations, local road agencies, consultants, contractors, and
suppliers gather together to discuss the latest advances, concerns,
and hot topics, related to concrete and the Texas Department of
Transportation. It occurs just every two years, so don’t
miss the opportunity to attend and network with your colleagues!
This year’s conference will feature TxDOT executive director
Amadeo Saenz, and FHWA Texas Division Administrator Janice Brown
as keynote speakers. Cutting-edge technical sessions will round
out the first day, and day two will highlight two “hot topic” sessions:
Alternative design/bid, and alkali-silica reaction. The Conference
will conclude with a tour of the University of Texas’ world-class
ASR research facility, located at the Pickle Center (click here

The Cement Council of Texas, in cooperation with the Texas
Department of Transportation (TxDOT), the Texas
Aggregate and Concrete Association, and the Texas
Concrete Pavement Association, has launched www.TexasOverlays.com.
This site will provide design and construction professionals with the latest
tools and information available to build durable, cost-effective concrete overlays
in Texas. The site was launched in conjunction with the concrete overlay seminar
series currently being held at various TxDOT district offices.
